Cromer Artspace Bursary Scheme
Support Creativity on the Prom

Why it matters
Your donation turns potential into public impact. Each bursary enables an artist to experiment, take creative risks and deliver projects that connect with residents and visitors alike. Bursary projects generate exhibitions, workshops, school partnerships and public events that increase footfall, enrich the visitor experience and build lasting cultural capital for the town.
Measurable outcomes
Bursary recipients produce public-facing work, run at least one community activity, and contribute to evaluation that demonstrates social, educational and economic benefits. We track reach, participant feedback and case studies so donors can see clear, evidence‑based results from their support.
Responsible stewardship
Bursaries and project funding reduce the barrier to Funds are awarded through a transparent selection process, paid in staged instalments against agreed milestones, and monitored by our Grants Manager. We publish annual reports and donor impact summaries to ensure accountability and celebrate success.. Financial backing enables artists to take creative risks, produce new commissions, or dedicate time to research and development.
Why donate now
Small gifts multiply: a modest donation can cover materials for a new commission; a larger gift can underwrite a residency and public programme. Supporting the bursary scheme is a direct investment in local talent, inclusive cultural access and Cromer’s profile as a creative destination.
I have always had a deep fondness for Norfolk, due to my family connections with the county on my mother’s side, which goes back generations. When I got this bursary opportunity, it felt in a way like a homecoming to my favourite place. We’ve already completed a week in residency at Cromer Artspace, and it was such a creatively stimulating experience, and it had the best view ever! I don’t think I can ever run out of inspiration in a place like Cromer, and I’m so excited to see where the next few months takes my work.”
