This year, we are proud to support two artists with bursaries, which included studio space, exhibition opportunities and mentoring. One is Eve Harriss, who has shared what the bursary has meant to her and her practice as an artist:
“I have always had a deep fondness for Norfolk, due to my family connections with the county on my mother’s side, which goes back generations. When I got this bursary opportunity, it felt in a way like a homecoming to my favourite place. We’ve already completed a week in residency at Cromer Artspace, and it was such a creatively stimulating experience, and it had the best view ever! I don’t think I can ever run out of inspiration in a place like Cromer, and I’m so excited to see where the next few months takes my work.”
